Wind & shelter
Plémont opens toward the north-west, so it is at its glassy best when the wind blows from the south-east (offshore) and choppiest in north-westerly winds (onshore). In the prevailing south-westerlies it sits side-on — often fine, sometimes breezy.

Lifeguards & swimming
RNLI lifeguards usually patrol Plémont from late May to mid September, around 10:00–18:00 daily. Season dates shift each year — always swim between the red-and-yellow flags and follow signage on the beach.
Dogs on the beach
Jersey's dog rule is island-wide: from 1 May to 30 September dogs must be on a lead between 10:30 and 18:00; outside those hours — and from October to April — they can run free. Owners must clean up (fines up to £500), and local signage can add restrictions, so check on arrival. The app shows the live rule for right now.
